River fishable

Post By: Americanwolf      Posted: 8/3/2019 4:58:19 AM     Points: 308
I see current river flows are 5.5k cfs, but being a bigger river is this still high? If so what cfs does this river become fishable?

I don't fish the river much, but I drive the road every day between Glenwood and rifle. Lots of boats on the river but the river is still higher than normal. Good luck

Itís very fishable right now. Some of the best big rainbow fishing Iíve seen in recent years. 4-8lbs fish are very common right now. Big streamers or original floating Rapalas in black/silver or black/gold fished along steep bank cuts. The river is still an usually high for this time of year so be careful and always wear your pfd.
