I was up there last summer early June. The road up is generally bumpy. We didn't fish it. Just up riding the atc's. I've always done better fishing Jenny lake which is a mile or so past Yankee doodle. Good luck..

I havnt fished Yankee Doodle but I killed it at Jenny above it. Road is rough to get to them. I would say Yankee is good for 12" trout. Estimation only....
