Well my buddy and I gave the creek a shot Sunday from 0600-1000 hrs., we knew the boaters-skiers would rock the lake and by the time we left, game on with the waves and crazies. Anyhoo, we tried something new to troll for wallies, a Wally pop in chartreuse- and boy do the walleye slam the S*** out of those guys-wsshh, the other setup was a slow death with a 1/2 ounce weight, troll speed was a bit faster with .68 to .81, those are the numbers my I-pilot register, but you get the point. Speaking of points, most fish were either on point drops or breaklines-breaks held the bigger fish for us this trip, the point bars held smaller-we netted 21 fish, 4 were keepers, all fish were feisty and fat-healthy, action was quick and hard tugging. Water seemed a bit algae blooming and murkier from recent rain, but the usual spots held fish in 14FOW for us that was the key... enjoy pics
People talk bad of the fishery . . ."Oh the waters nasty!" . . .Too many other boaters/jet skis/PWCs" . . .I don't care, matter of fact . . .the more boats/jets/PWCs the better the bite gets and boy howdy are the eyes healthy! I love to catch eyes at C.C. I should have gone today . . .
