Hinged trolling motor bracket

Post By: Hawaiian Punch      Posted: 7/21/2019 6:42:28 PM     Points: 4818
I love my rear electric trolling motor, but it has some flaws . . . .it slows me down when running with the gas motor,it has no stearring abilitys going backwards and the stearring not much better going forward.I meet a guy today and he built a hinged bracket for his.The bracket moves the motor back about a foot and allows you to flip up the electric for big motor running.
The man made it from stainless steel (very nice!)

That's a great idea. I use to have a motor like that on my last boat. Great motor but it definitely drug in the water making getting out of the water a slow process.

I'm going to learn as much as I can about how he built it! I'd like one myself.

I see a small problem for me . . . .it might make me too long to fit in the garage.(we already have a folding tounge kit)
