Last trip I made the callis were about done, at least the brood that wintered in the lake. There may still be a few, but for the most part they'd hatched out and won't re-appear until the next brood matures in a week or three. They previous duns were returning as spinners to mate and lay eggs, the source of that next hatch, but the fish weren't really into them the way they can be. But a drowned spinner pattern was taking some cruisers. Scuds were a bust, midges poor. But a damsel seemed to get their attention shallow or deep. Friday looks hot, hot, hot, and dead still. I'd planned to go, but it just looks like one of those calm, sweltering days when nothing eats. Hope I'm wrong. Good luck.
I fished Monday landed 4 on dries. Damsel and Callibeatis both. It was maddening to see that many fish not eat....! Well at least my bugs! Hot still day too... we moved out to a deeper less weedy area. I Fished my brown leech 18Ē under the indo. I landed 12 in just over an hour. Lots of mystery bites... you know, The I donít how I missed that Bite?? Bite.
I2 ... back in the saddle again...thanks Bill. I appreciated your text, and words of encouragement while I was out of commission. I Loved the boat loan of your boat.
