Well my son (Sgt. Grillo) U.S. Army firefighter extraordinaire, surprised me on a visit these past 3 days. I asked where do you want to fish, he said away from Denver, somewhere he hasn't been since leaving Co. So we went to Wolford-his first time, and we slammed her well... I caught my limit in 3 hrs. and Nick caught 12, lost a bunch at the boat being a bit of a rookie to the kokes. Nick also hooked about a 3lb. brown at the west end in the coves, couldn't leave the fly rod down. He kept about 4-5 to take home, we had a great day on the water. We trolled sling blades-6" pink/holo, we trolled kokonut mack lures pink and pink/flash, worked awesome, and we were 12-21' down, speed was a constant 1.38 on the I-pilot... S turns were the key as well, every time we slowed up, more than sped up, we got hit.
P.S. Nick-for all you military guys-just graduated honor grad Air Assault school, was invited to be an instructor, but he is on his way to Ft. Benning to Airborne school-Ranger school... HOORAH !!!
