I fished Antero for the first time on July 10 with Anteroman, Bill Hadley. I won the fishing trip donated by Bill through FishExplorer’s Winter Giveaway. The weather was great for being on the water, but not the best for fishing – no wind in South Park that day. Bill showed me some new techniques for fly fishing stillwater trout. I got to use one of his outboard powered personal pontoons that made it extremely easy to move around the lake. At least half the people on lake knew Bill and came over to talk and share fishing reports.
We caught several trout and they fought as hard as Bill describes in his threads. I thoroughly enjoyed the guided trip and learned some good locations around the lake. Thanks for the trip Bill and thanks to FishExplorer for the opportunities to win some neat stuff or trips during the cold of the winter.

I was out the 10th with my grandson, by my standards a pretty good day. I got Parker into a couple nice fish, 16-18" rainbows. I caught a 20" brown which is uncommon for me. Ended up boating about 15 fish, most in the 16" range with a couple bigger and a couple little guys. Took me about an hour to get dialed in, fish were suspended 3-5' in 10+ feet of water and taking purple/grey chronomids. Wished I'd figured out the Anteroman was on the lake, I'd have stopped to introduce us.
