Walleye = hot bite @ Cherry Creek...

Hit the lake Wednesday about 0700, fished with my neighbor David. Fishing was hot all morning until 1230, then the skiers-jet ski's and guppie sailors took over, hot day, but the fishing was hotter... we started at buoy#? and all we did was troll a slow death hook with half a worm, and 3/4 ounce weight, that is it. We trolled in figure 8's @ about .5 to .8 mph, that was the ticket. We hooked to the boat 21 fish-fat and healthy, we netted 15, and kept 6, most fish were over 18, a few were 16,17"s, but again fatties, and the big one was 21"s about 3 1/2lbs. enjoy the goofy pics.

P.S. momma threw down on those fillets-egg wash, Italian bread crumbs-WHAAAAAAATTT...

How about the eyes that just open their mouth and let go? Ya get your crawler back untouched.I use a slow steady sweep to get them to turn away.
Still a blast to get into them like that.

Nice! I haven't consume fish from CC in about 10 years now. I CnR or give the fish away. Does anyone notice the fish from CC smell and taste different from lakes like Boyd, Chatty and John Martin?

I've eaten walleye from Chatfield, Aurora, and CC, and I don't think I can tell you the difference. CC was my first eater walleye, and when I found out walleye is amazing.

Looks like a great trip GR3! The walleye Bud cooked up from CC at his fish frys was always delicious...I would eat them again. Id certainly take one of GR3s fillets too, they look great!

Which half of the worm works better?

Either works fine. You want about a half-inch hanging off the shank of the hook.
