CHATFIELD GRAVEL POND #1

Post By: jibber      Posted: 7/4/2019 4:35:07 PM     Points: 11643
Fished Chatfield Gravel Pond this morning before the crowds arrived. Caught one bluegill in three hours. This pond is usually an easy place to catch bluegill. Water is high and clear. No fish rising even with lots ants floating on the surface. Anyone else fish here since the pond reopened?

yes been tuff, but if you move and try some different areas , they are in there. the water has warmed so many fish are a bit deeper now, try a small jig tipped with a small piece of worm, very the color of jig till you find the one they like,gl and stay on them

Thanks Cappyman. Was out there yesterday and fly fished the beaver house for panfish. Pretty good for sunfish. Ran my fishing buddy fish finder all over the island area. Not one mark. Will give a small jig and a worm a try.
