A few weeks ago got out on Horsetooth for some topwater action. The spook bite was hot and heavy all morning and then plastics did the rest of the heavy lifting. Fish were eating anything and everything which made it a great opportunity to improve on my finesse game. Ended up gaining more confidence in ned rigs, drop shots, and neko rigs. With a hot bite like that it's a great opportunity to practice new techniques. Created a video recapping the trip. Enjoy! [log in for link]

I talked with someone when I was pulling out Sunday and he said that they were spawning a couple weeks ago. I still pulled a few 10 to 12 inch smallmouth near the shore on plastics but didn't attempt topwater jerk baits. I did better on drop shots in 20 ftw.
