Father & Son weekend

What a fantastic way to spend a fathers day weekend. My oldest son who live in Craig drove down Wednesday night to spend the weekend fishing with dad. We wasted little time as we where out on the lake by 0600 Thursday morning and into fish by 0615. Action Thursday was pretty much none stop until we left the lake about 4 PM. Friday was a repeat of Thursday but the storms chased us off the lake about 2 PM. We considered going to John Martin Saturday but the forecast looked bad to drive that far for one day and get pushed off by storms so we just stayed at Pueblo. Saturday and Sunday where slower days but still good fishing.Storms as forecasted again pushed us off the lake Saturday by 2. Sunday we met up with some friend and fished a few spots. Fishing was much slower but still landed lots of fish. In total we landed 518 fish between my son and I. Mostly walleyes (399) with a few keepers but most in the 16 to 17.75 inch range, also lots of SMB (104) with one at 17.5 inches, 8 wipers all between 17 and 19.5 inches, 2 carp, 2 spotted bass, 2 rainbows and 1 LMB. All fish caught while bouncing jigs with either a crawler or a gulp minnow in 12 to 25 FOW. Great weekend and great time spent with my son.

Glad you two had a great day! Nothing like a father & son hammerin’ some fish! Nice chunky M.A. Smallmouth!🎣 The other two are also some chunks! 🎣👍🍻

The “Walleye Wisperer” and his son do it again!
Those fish at PLO don’t stand a chance when they’re double-teamed!
Well done gentlemen, and a great way to spend the Fathers Day weekend. Congrats!

Thanks guys really a good time. I use to kick his butt but he is now keeping up with the old man but still think I beat him by one or two. Then again maybe not!

Dayyum! You two need to come with a warning label. I kinda noticed at RG that Kevin has that knack now like the ol’ Man. Another four days of stickin’ em, this annoying work deal is really not much fun when I hear the daily update. Glad you guys got some time for Fathers Day.

Bron, If we would have done a final count and saw we where at 399 I'm sure we would have stayed to get 400.

Diggins, thanks, you are always welcome to come across and join us anytime. Looking at going to RG in late July so maybe we can meet up for a day on the water.
