fished today, lake is full, water temp is 60.2 F, fish not liking what I had? at 10:00 Am there were only 3 boats on the lake. Fishing was poor but the day and scenery were beautiful. Carp were spawning in the brush.
I expect with as low as the lake was all winter that all fish populations (except carp) are likely way down and it might take a couple of years for any kind of recovery for the crappie and perch. Sure wish the CPW would follow through on their old promise to stock saugeye, but then I never really believed they would do it anyway. I hope I am wrong on the population being down, but I don't see how the numbers could not have suffered some.

they stock large mouth bass, & catfish at least every other year if not every year, The crappie is hopefully a new every year plan. Crawford also gets a batch of rainbow trout from the Feds and the state.
