Anyone have any ice condition updates for Aurora? Thinking of maybe trying tomorrow if the ice is good enough. TIA!

I would probably go to the mountains. After that wind doubt any ice is good anywhere low.

Walk softly and carry a big stick(spud bar) I would stick to the coves and even go as far as letting others go first. The end is near for front range lakes and its just not worth getting dunked.

Was there today fishing open water this afternoon. The only ice I saw from the swim beach was well back into marina cove . No clue the safety of it. Everything else open water

Midge, how was the bite? Did you have any success at all?

i wa out today from 930-1130 at the swim beach. it will be my last time this year. Ice was just under 4 inches with 6 inches of frozen snow with slush in between. I doubt there will be any ice tomorrow. with that said it was on fire, landed 8 mussed 10+ all in 6 to 15 feet.

Not to old to fish, I did pretty well fri and sat. Been fishing the cove just west of the swim beach by the picnic shelter. Huge snow drift so standing high up on it.streamer Fly and a bubble . Rainbows 11-14 inches.
