Fished Boyd lake opener , water temp was 37 at 8 am and 38 at 2 pm. We caught 2 rainbows, one was caught jigging and one trolling. We didnít see any walleyes caught only trout. Pretty slow opener this year.

Iíll throw some jigs around the rocks first and see if I can find some spawners. Unless you know that lake better, I sure donít know it very well. We can try a variety of things, Iím up for what ever works.

The opener was kind of a joke, we had to launch at the north ramp I think itís Heron ramp or something like that, Right the ramp was still blocked at 9:00am, canít get the tractor to start. So around 9:30 or a little after we launched, no dock the water is too shallow to get back to the shore. I donít think they were ready for the opener.
We need 42 degrees and the walleyes should get active, maybe by Friday.
