Water question

Post By: phidoux      Posted: 3/11/2019 11:51:42 AM     Points: 5380
Wanting to go camping at Jackson but can't get hold of anybody to see if they turn off drinking water or have the dump station open. I know they have the shower houses winterized. Does anybody know about the questions?

From my experience with campgrounds. When one part of the water is shut off for the season, it all gets shut off.

Only exception may be if they will let you use a hose spigot that is attached to a heated building to fill water jugs. Everything else would be at risk of freezing and bursting.

I was finally able to get through and found out that the water spigots for drinking water are open at pelican campground but the dump station water is shut off but you can still use the station to dump your tanks.
They also said the lake is still mostly capped but the ice isn't safe but the inlet is open.

Thanks for the update on the water. Did they mention when the ram will open for the season?

We actually just went over opening the ramp during our staff meeting today. Until the ice is completely off for at least a few days, we will not be opening the ramp. I will update facebook as soon as we do.

Thanks!
