I know you guys float this lake (tubes) can you put a kayak in it? If so, from where? I see it has a ramp, but I like to launch closer to where I fish as I can't paddle real far. I'm feeling a pretty Dynamic itch that absolutely needs scratching, and Estes has the kind of fish that scratch it pretty well.

Can you hand launch from the south side of the main lake?

We launch tubes from the park off 36. Im pretty sure that you can use a kayak there.

I was telling AWB a couple of weeks ago that they put up signs around the lake now that say all hand launch watercraft has to launch at the marina now .
And yes you can use a kayak there. A friend of mine put her kayak in on the hwy. 36 side Kev-o was talking about and the marina patrol boat came out and gave her sh*t about it . Lol.the pay fee signs are up already but they are NOT charging to get in yet .

Roof rack should be here next week, so maybe next weekend I'll head up and find out in person WHERE I can launch at. I can paddle short distances, or short periods of time before my hands go numb and my shoulder needs to rest.

Probably NOT going out this week, after the week I've had going anywhere sounds DREADFUL....even if it's fishing. (besides, I'd rather be ON the water than BY the water.)
