Does anybody have a general idea as to when ice out occurs at Rosemont? I’m guessing some time a little later since it’s a higher elevation? Or would that be a question for the closest ranger?

The weather controls when ice off happens.You get a strong wind,with some good sun shine and the ice can go fast.Over night temps will have a lot to do with the ice off.

No that totally makes sense, Punch. I just was hoping to try and head up there the first part of next month but could totally envision a scenario where I get all the way up there and then see a lake full of ice, lol. Or for that matter only getting halfway up the road to there from Springs and then getting stuck.... Have you ever fished there during ‘bow spawning season?
Roy Boy- I knew it was artificial flies and lures only, but didn’t realize it was closed til May 11. Is that the case every year? Or do those open dates change every year?
