Lake: Chatfield Reservoir

How's the ice? Is it walkable?

Has anyone been on the ice in chatfield? I'm packed up headed to George town lake, I skunked there two times this year, I want to try somewhere else. I do have a parks pass.

I say this with no disrespect but if your not catching at Georgetown Chatfield is probably won't be your answer. If I may inquire what are you using? In my experience the trout at Georgetown both rainbow and browns are usually pretty hungry.

I've been using rat finkies, worms, jig heads tipped with crawler, mealworms, salmon eggs and wax worms. I have used some minnow jigs for browns.

Last year my brother and I hooked about 20 within 3 hours. (At georgetown).
