A buddy of mine who is a volunteer for CPW was up there today at Kriley teaching an ice fishing class. I didn't hear how thick it was but since it was a CPW event, I'm positive it is great. I will text him and find out for sure and get back but I would plan on fishing it tomorrow.
Edit: he just got back with me and said 8+" on Kriley.

They havnt stocked it since June, recommend you go elsewhere. We got a few in Dec. If Goosehunter says St Vrain is safe thats the top pick...then GTown, Evergreen, or Pine Valley Ranch.
I saw a couple of groups of people on sandpiper this afternoon when I drove by but I didn't personally check it. It would definitely be a good place to take some kids or new people once the ice firms up a bit. You can always call out there and ask how the ice is if there are no current reports here. Good luck.
Thank you all very much for the responses, i really appreciate it. We love taking kids to st. Vrain, but like you guys said, not sure about safety of ice thickness.
