Cold and slow day fishing the Colorado River today with Chet! Temps ranged from 35-44 degrees with mostly cloudy skies and a light wind. The fish were sluggish and required a slow crank using a #5 & #7 Countdown in the Hot Mustard Muddler pattern as well as a 1/16 oz Crappie Jig! I caught this nice chunk 19” Brown as well as a nice 18” Brown while Chet caught the first fish of the day a fat 18” Brown.Chet ended with the most numbers wise but I ended with the best fish

Thx guys! My best Brown was caught on a #7 Countdown on the slow crank and my next best fish was caught on a #5 Countdown real close to shore on a slow crank. My friend caught all of his on a black 1/16 oz Crappie Jig! I didn’t get one hit on any Jerkbait action! First time in quite a while that I didn’t get any fish on the Dynamic J-Spec!
