Looking to get some reels serviced

I have a few Shimano spinning [log in for link] and level wind reels that I am looking to get serviced. They all work but just not working smooth, I would like that cleaned and serviced. I am sure some might need some minor repairs like maybe washers or gears. Does anyone know someone that does these?

I’m sure that anglerwannabe does I’m sure he’ll chime in. Hopefully he can provide you with more information. Pretty sure that he contacted Shimano directly.

I use Shimano [log in for link] They service them and will replace most parts that need replacing for a straight forward price. Turn around time can vary, but I've never been too long without any of mine. Great work too!

Garys reel service in Lakewood. I work at BPS give me a call in the fishing department on Tuesday and I can give you his number we have his business cards. ( ask for Harry)

I'd contact Shimano, I've heard great things regarding their service. If, however, the reels are out of warranty and/or it is more money than you want to spend, basic service on a reel is pretty easy. Most of the time is it just cleaning out and replacing the old grease, and relubing the bearings, bushings, and any place metal rubs on metal. And if it has felt drag washers you can get carbon fiber replacements from smooth drag.
