Fun Yak day

Post By: SGM      Posted: 7/25/2018 1:28:48 PM     Points: 15633
Took the yak out for a spin this morning and had a ball catching small gills and a few bass too. Most of the gills ran 5-6 inches with some smaller and a few bigger. Bass ran 3 to 10 inches and one at 15.5 inches. Just a simple 1/16 oz jig head and part of a crawler. Only 2 other guys fishing both in belly boats. Was nice early but about 1100 the wind picked up and started to swirel so it was time to leave. Fish you want a place to take the kids for some bluegill action Brush might be the spot.

Bron, it is about 3 hours from your place. Fun place to fish but for a trip that long there are better places to go.

Ski, it is easier to see the fish that way. Just need to be able to hold your breath for a long time.

Looks like you're fishing in Australia.

YD, I should have taken a photo for smallest fish award.

Pathway, more of a challange that way.

Bron, no camping at Brush Hollow so we will need to look at other options.

Sounds like a good time. How was the water level? Can you still launch a boat from the boat ramp?

Aqueous, water level is low but the launch ramp is still good to use.
