Greenbacks!

I finally got the opportunity to do some greenback fishing last Sunday and was not disappointed. They are such a beautiful fish I feel privileged every time I get to catch them!

Beautiful. If you could, try not to drag these beautiful fish on the sand. Good catch.

Very nice. Could these fish perhaps be different species/subspecies? The first pic shows a cutthroat with spotting on the anal fin (greenback?) while the second pic shows a cutthroat without the anal fin spotting. I’m just trying to learn.

When in doubt, get a kastmaster out!

They are both greenbacks. This lake has greenbacks only in it.

Thanks guys. I was only able to fish for an hour and still caught 8 or 9. They were hitting a 1/8 oz rainbow trout kasty a small rainbow colored little cleo the most consistently. Wish I could've fished it longer but it was a long trek back to the truck.

See, what do I keep saying about 'confidence baits"?
Rainbow Kasty!
I'm up to about a dozen species on that one.
laker, brown, brook, bow, cuttie, crappie, green sunfish, red-ear, bluegill, bass, walleye, perch... probably a few I am forgetting as well.
