Happy To See Boulder CO Handing Out Citations

Post By: pikeNcolorado      Posted: 6/21/2018 10:13:38 PM     Points: 17676
While floating today I was thrilled to see Bo Co issue a citation for fishing with crawlers as well as no license. Even better, it was someone I saw posting pictures on Fish brain recently. I saw them with the worms and for a few, contemplated calling them in. Then a few minutes later, a Ranger showed up and pulled out the pen. A special thanks goes out to Boulder County for enforcing the rules that most of us follow.

Good to hear, I called in some guys using bait last summer at Pella and the rangers showed up in 15 minutes. I wish every place in Colorado had the resources of Boulder County.

A couple years back a woman received a felony in Boulder for dying her poodle pink for breast cancer awareness month. I drive 40-50k per year and have received 3 tickets from law enforcement -(in 42 years--. 2 of them were in successive weeks in Boulder at makeshift speed traps at the bottom of a hill. They literally covered up the original speed limit sign and replaced it with a less visible sign for 15mph under the real limit. Must have been 20 officers just raking it in.. For the children donchknow? Glad they do enforce our laws on our waters but know.............

I would voluntarily pay higher fees for licenses, passes, entry, etc so long as there would be quarterly or semi annual accounting documentation. Why would anyone grant govt a blank check and why would anyone trust govt. No reason under the sun. Im ok with larger fines as well but speed traps for revenue raising? Come on! Good night now!

Hi Pike, was that Boulder County or a P&W Ranger . I assume it was a P&W. Wish local authority could and would help enforce wildlife law. So many lawbreakers it is always good to hear about some being caught. Thanks for the post. I know P&K rangers can enforces other than wildlife laws but am not sure it works the other way.

I would love to see an option to where when I purchase my license, I could give $ to a fund just for more Wardens or Officers. Or if they wanted to increase the price for a license I'd be ok with that too. But others may not be as fortunate to pay that increase.

My honest opinion, start writing more tickets and the word will spread. Afterall, if he gave them a warning, do you think I would've wrote a post about it?

Boulder has a lot to work on with better enforcement of this squatting nonsense.

Sirgreg, speeding is speeding, regardless of where you do it. Your view of boulder doesn't change that fact.
