I spent some time with my dad and my daughter at a high altitude lake. Beautiful day, windy at times but just gorgeous. The lake was not really having it but once we started fishing the outlet, they liked what we were offering.

Some of the most beautiful fish I have ever seen. The colors were spectacular and the size of these were pretty good too. I caught my personal best Cutthroat Trout at 18.5 Inches. My daughter got her personal best any species at 17 Inch and even my dad got a personal best 16 inch.

Great day for all of us. Even if we would have been skunked, the drive was worth it!

Very nice, beautiful spot Iím glad you got you pops and daughter into some fish. Cutthroat are little gems of color. Fun and aggressive fighters as well. I wish you good luck going forward. Did you keep the nice fish in the photo? I kinda hope so. Your fingers are in its gills. It is very likely that a trout will not survive if released. Due to introducing germs and pathogens to what equate to itís lungs. Iím not trying to preach. Just educate.

However, Iím glad you had a wonderful time with family... i2

i2fly, yes, we did take a couple home. There were two (including this one) that were not handled well and we were trying to capture the colors in the light we had. At first I did not want to take the big one home but it turned out to be really yummy though.

My daughter wanted to take hers and mine home to show Grandma.
