I noticed the press release is under the "News" section here on FishExplorer but wanted to reiterate that the .6 mile stretch of the Yampa River immediately below Stagecoach Reservoir will close tomorrow (June 14th) due to low incoming and outgoing flows. There is no estimated time on re-opening but for now flows are good down river at Sarvis Creek SWA and going through Steamboat Springs and both areas are fishing good.
As the press release says, "When water flows are minimal, fish become concentrated in residual pool habitat and become stressed due to increased competition for food resources. The fish become much easier targets for anglers, an added stressor that can result in increased hooking mortality."
Please respect the closure, these fish need a break. Please contact the Stagecoach State Park Office at 970/736-2436 if you have questions.
