woah, that's wild that dogs have been trained to find bodies underwater, that blew my mind.

Not good,

Must not have been wearing a life jacket. Hopefully others will take notice and learn from this tragedy.

ya know, in a recent thread I advised a person to maybe skip 20 MPH winds.. the response.. they are very experienced.. in their "big" 16' boat. I've seen larger than that swamped here.

I don't care how experienced you are... wear a life vest and always err on the side of caution. The ones on most boats are bulky and a pain.. I get it.. save and invest in something like a Mustang vest.. super thin and never interferes with my fishing.

Every year we read things like this.. way too sad.

I have had at least 3 close calls that I can remember. And they were all picture perfect calm days. I was lucky to have had one on because they were "freak" accidents. I sympathize for those who knew him and it probably could have been avoided.

Things like this change your life in a heartbeat. Be safe, wear that PFD.
Thoughts and prayers to the family and friends in this tragic loss.

Definitely super sad to hear. I always take a whistle with me too, especially if I am going out alone. That way you can easily make a ton of noise without getting exhausted screaming. Stay safe..

Sad to hear of this tragedy,
Someone drowned at Pueblo Res about a month ago and I believe they were not wearing a life jacket.
People need to start wearing these devices to have a fighting chance.

People are always going to be that way. Sucks but lots of people will never learn till it happens to them
