Joe Wright Ice Fishing Possible?

Post By: Knottyboy      Posted: 3/18/2018 9:08:35 AM     Points: 240
Has anyone been up recently? I know sometimes the snow can be very deep and the ice can be very thick.

We will be on foot with a standard auger.

Chambers still has 22 of ice on it so Id imagine that joe wright has similar conditions.

I drove by en route to Walden two weeks ago. The snow to the reservoir was at least three feet in depth, I'd highly recommend snow shoes. I've been on Joe Wright at this time in previous years and always had to put my extender on my auger due to the ice depth...but due to the "warm" winter I would except at least 20 inches based on other lakes in the area.
