Fall is in the air.. and the fish are biting.

I hope the cold in the air is NOT keeping fisherman from getting out and taking advantage of this special time of the year. Fall to when i have a chance at a PB. A fish of a lifetime! Fall is a special time when all fish are getting ready to feed up for the long winter. Finding the forage is key. I am seeing a mix of crawdads and perch in my live wells after a day of fishing. I match the hatch and move a lot till i find fish. When you do.. it can be magic. Get out there and make the most of the last few weeks of open water!

I agree, I've been catching perch in 10 plus inch length, they are definitely biting well, seems like some of the bigger cats are feeding too. Lost count on how many LMB I've caught in the last 4 days. Fall is amazing followed by my second favorite which is winter.

the fish were just like i thought. Up shallow and feeding on moving baits and feeding well even though the water was colder and the wind was up a bit. The fish were chasing perch and crawdads...
