I can't believe I've made it to Spinney for the third weekend in a row. We fished from 8am-12pm which turned out to be the best window of the day. It was breezy and almost perfect conditions at 8, and less than 10 minutes in my buddy Paul gets into a very nice fish. Paul starts right where he left off last weekend. Rod tip down and Paul is off to the races with a much higher success rate with hooksets this week. Paul lands 3 today and missed a couple. I on the other missed many strikes...long pauses to watch my buddy often resulted in an unexpexcted tug and gone. I did manage landing one after missing four.
The water was cold. Early on it was light wind with good water clarity. By 10:30 the wind was howling and the whitecaps really muddied up the NS flats. We moved around the flats to get up wind of the mud line in clear water and got back on the fish. By 11:30 it was muddy all over and it was time to leave. BH streamers have work.
