Got up to Idaho Springs yesterday morning to fish Clear Creek. I was Spin fishing, using a 3 inch Gulp Minnow rigged with a weedless hook, and caught a number of 8 to 12 inch Browns and Rainbows. However, I was absolutely shocked when I brought in about a 4 - 5 pound Rainbow. I know Clear Creek holds a lot of smaller trout -- but didn't think it produced Bows that size. It was a PB for me by far! Didn't get a pic, though --- sorry! I wanted to get him back in slow water ASAP.
