I will be staying in Eagle this weekend and have about 2 hrs to fish while the kids are sleeping. I am looking for a place to park and fish as much as possible in that time near Eagle. Any ideas would be helpful and I'm not looking for a secret spot. I will put on waders if nec. Thx in advance I am familiar with the area a little
You can access from so many places. Any bridge has nearby parking. Between Avon and Edwards you can catch browns at every pull off and most all of the river has public access from both sides. Casting flies like big attractor patterns in the pocket waters will locate fish quickly. I like big parachute adams #12-14 or royal wolffs #12-14. If casting a spinning rod, a panther martin in salamander (red&black w/ gold blade) is a killer. Literally, you can park and access at any bridge, and you will catch browns.

Eagle fairgrounds has access, east of Eagle a mile or two has a couple walk-in access points. Gypsum ponds area accesses a big stretch of river and there's tons of access between Gypsum & Dotsero... Enjoy!
If you only have two hours, go fish Brush Creek through Eagle Ranch. Smaller water, but fun dry fly action and surprisingly nice fish in there. Your next best option would be to go down past the fairgrounds and fish up.
