Regardless if your kid is 3 or 30 it is still great to get out and spend a few days fishing together. Spent the weekend with my son fishing some high country lakes. Hiked into 3 different lakes 4-5 miles each way fsihing them and the streams. Streams ended up being better than the lakes but still well worth the trip to see those areas. We caught lots of cutthroats and brookies with my son catching the biggest at 18 inches. Small spinners worked the best for us. Was lots of wildlife including elk, deer and a young cow moose. Pretty sure we spooked the bear that was eating the raspberries but only saw it's tracks, by the way the raspberries where delcious!
SGM, Going to be getting out with MY son on Thursday to do a little scouting for the upcoming smoke pole season. Maybe get to do a little fishing too. Looking forward to it! P.S. Thanks again for the past Pueblo trip. You da man! 👍🏻

Esox, cliche or not, the truth is the truth.
Skiman, We are going to have to look at getting you and Clay out again. Fall fishing Pueblo or even BM can be good. Did a little smoke pole scouting too. Saw some nice bucks and good elk sign so getting excited.
Diggins, Karen and I are really looking forward to the trip west with you. A long weekend of cast and blast will be fun.
