this will be my first time going there this weekend and i was wondering how much public land there is along the river to fish. also is the private land along the river pretty clearly posted or are there any trouble spots i need to be on the look out for? im looking to spend most of my time around the gateway park area of the river.
Any help is greatly appreciated! if you are there this weekend ill be in a bright green jacket, feel free to come say hi!
I fish the poudre many times a month in this same stretch you are asking about, I have fished from picnic rock all the way to Gateway and as far as I know none of it is private. Up stream of gateway is also public for a ways. Tons of public water to fish on the poudre. Don't be expecting any size but there should be plenty of fish to be caught!
I think the general app is free. The upgrades as in private land ect. Is a charge I think under $40. It will also tell you landowners on the upgrade plus some other info.
thank you so much guys!! i appreciate it! and yeah im not to concerned about size, just looking to get the rust off for the season and have a good time! also is it worth it to try up by the kelly flats? or should i stick around gateway park?
