Does anyone know, or have you ever iced O'Haver Lake. Can't find anything in the refs. Thanks!

I've fished there in the summer, long time ago, but never in the winter. My wife outfished me... it's not that hard to do... :)

You gotta wait a few days after a snow, for the road into ther to be driveable. Definitely need 4WD, the switchbacks are steep, with consequences for sliding off. Also, the gate is probably closed, so the sledding in may be tough.

That said, it is usually great action for rainbows to 14". Stay anywhere from dam to far shore the shallows by camping area is less productive.

Right in Salida is a dandy pond that has good ice, as well, similar fishing, and easy driving conditions. Check out Franz.
