Kentucky in Colorado?

Yes, you can get a little bit of Kentucky, right here in Colorado if you head down to Pueblo Reservoir right now! The Kentucky Spotted Bass(Spots) are plentiful and eager to eat a spoon dropped down into their world at 40-55 feet deep. The water temp is around 36-39 degrees. So long as the water doesn't freeze, they will be accessable and bunched up, until they migrate up to spawn in late April through May. The shad pods are "huge" and crammed into the bigger coves. I predict that the state record for a Spot will most likely be broken this year, probably in March or April prior to spawning and when they are full of eggs, hopefully by one of my clients or myself. The water has risen quite a bit as of late. 2008 promises to be an awesome year for fishing down at P-Lo!

Amen! Pueblo is going to be great this spring. I'll be down there the first 2 weeks of February testing tackle for Amistad. Thanks for the info Joe! CL
