River: Cache La Poudre River (Fort Collins Area)

Poudre fort collins area

Fished the poudre this morning without much luck. Missed one nice brown and all the other fish I saw were very spooky. Does anyone have any advice for this river. Also I have heard there are carp, bass, and perch in there? Anyone have any info on where those species would be hiding?

The warmer water fish are down lower past fort Collins. Closer to windsor greeley. Dunno about the perch. Small blue poison bead heads work well this time of year. Or juju beatus

You'd probably find carp in slower pools starting once you pass the bridge on Timberline. Bass and perch are in there, but pretty infrequent. They're probably in there because of the river's proximity to warmwater ponds in combination with the flood a few years ago. I would fish in areas near warmwater ponds if I wanted to find bass or perch.
