Don't Bash the Trash - Carp Tournament is ON - July 9th, Lake Arbor

The TightLine Outdoors, "Don't Bash the Trash" Carp Fishing tournament is a GO for Saturday, July 9th at Lake Arbor.

This permit again took months for TLO to acquire but they are now good to go. Registration should be open Friday morning.

For details of the event, registration details and event specific rules can be found on the TLO website.

If you have any questions about the event, you should direct these to TLO.

I hope to make it up to the event this year, participate and fish alongside very talented and passionate anglers. Heck, maybe I will even catch a fish year, drink a gallon of coffee and cheer on all those taking part !

Blake and I will be there! We wont be able to register until Mon. We are at Blue Mesa and my phone barely works here.

Aye, it is very short notice.

I have already spoken to my dear wife this morning, who is still down in Bama, to ensure that she will be back in time for me to attend - which for now, looks like she will - Oh Yes, COFFEE TIME is coming !

I wish that this was on another weekend. I would have loved to fish this one since its so close to home...but instead i'll be fishing the CKFC tournament a couple hours up into the mountains that day

This is Bobby Martin just bought my ticket !!!! See you next Saturday this should be a blast !!!!! So if somebody can help me I can't find anything in the rules as far as off-limits dates to where we can't go pre-fish the lake ? Also is it all set and one area and you get to find a peg or can you find your own area and fish that I've never fished one of your events so I'm very curious on how this all works anyway I've already paid for my ticket !!!

Nothing wrong with pre fishing

You Cannot chum a area though no point of doing that anyway and breaking rules cause
The morning of the event we meet 1 hr before 6 am the rules will be mentioned then.
The lake will be devided into 4 quadrants rather then pegs you will be giving one of the four to fish that morning then after lunch you will rotate to another lake area opposite side of lake
No way of knowing where you will end up In advance

1 in 4 chance on quadrant and then other anglers to consider too.

Just bought Captain Doughball and my ticket to the ball. (I think) See you all there! All of our high altitude trout fishing hopefully hasn't messed up our carp mojo.

You can still buy the day of
At the lake with cash
So be there at 545 am

A lot different then last year only a couple carp caught very slow
Only One counts though at 29.5 he's on the leader board, a guy name Garrett cool dude.

Tony from team carpsquatch won with 4 fish....he finished second last year. The other carpsquatch team member took 2nd with 2 fish...he finished 3rd last year. The guy from Eagle Claw that got the first one finished 3rd with one. I lost one at the shore in the morning that would have gave me 4th but I get to share that in a 12 way tie at 0. I got a 2# cat that didnt count. Fishing was slow, it was too hot, and we still had a great time. May be another event at Adams Cty in Aug.

An excellent event, albeit the days fishing was certainly dang hard. It was great to meet everyone again. My thanks to the organizer TLO and everyone that took part. Congrats to Tony, for claiming the win, to AJ who came in second and Garret for his third place. Fins-UP !

(Yes, I continued my theme of 0 fish at tournaments, the victory coffee remained unopened, the tragedy was almost too much to bear. I did have copious amounts of pre-event coffee though!)

TLO next Don't Bash the Trash - Carp Craze event, is planned for 6th August - venue TBD (likely Fairgrounds or Chatfield). I hope to be there once again.

August 6 can't come soon enough. Hopefully I will be bringing my fishing buddy and my dad. Although we don't know the exact location yet let's spread the word early and get a lot of people coming to this event. Should be a blast like yesterday's tournament. Even though I didn't catch any I have confidence for the next event. Guess I can't do any worse

That is a bummer the fishing was slow for you guys. Geuss I shoulda kept the kids away from there Friday lol. Hey sent pics of 14 good size ones and said they lost several others. Lol one thing about arbor though is boilles are a no go corn is a so so. Hot dogs well out do the rest but I am not revealing what they use invade we finally do get to make a tourny at my lake. Lol
