Nice Crappy caught by my son

Post By: wagnut      Posted: 6/6/2016 10:20:56 AM     Points: 83
First post here.....I'm mostly a lurker because I don't have anything worth posting. Now I do :)

I took my boys out fishing yesterday afternoon to Jim Baker Res. The fishing was very slow but it was great to spend time with them. As we were getting close to leaving my oldest snagged a really nice crappie! I was trying to get them into some small panfish so we were just using a bare hook and worms.

I wish I would have measured it before we released it...I'm from South Dakota and have caught a lot of crappie....I don't think I have ever caught one this big!

Well, apparently I can't spell. The heading of the post spelled "crappie" wrong. I am not sure how to edit the post...

Look at the smile on that boys face, he is stoked. Good job on getting the boys out Dad. That is a nice crappie, I don't care how it's spelled either. Good one.

Nice catch. No worries about the spelling. No points deducted for misspelled words ( thank goodness !) . It's a fishing forum, we understand.

Nice, 14" or above is a Master Angler, got a 14 1/2 at CC this year, received certificate and patch last week in the mail. Good idea to measure just in case. Tight Lines!!!
