Two Buttes Reservoir questions

Post By: dizzel      Posted: 5/6/2016 8:08:15 PM     Points: 23158
Has anyone been to this body of water recently, looks like this place was managed for a few years but due to evaporation/drought it was hard to manage, itching to make the trek down there to check it out for some bass, unless someone chimes in and says its not worth it...

any tips are greatly appreciated !!

hearing from the CPW. For the past few years the fishing has been good for panfish and bass. Thats a place I plan on going this year too. However if conditions change, make sure you have plan b on where to go next around there.

Dizzel it is worth the trip. Reminds me of a miniature Pueblo Reservoir. The reservoir was dry three years ago. But after it filled it was heavily stocked and the fish took off. You should be rewarded if you make the long haul.

LM bass fishing is great. Other warm water species not that big yet. Had some big trout, but I have been told they died off last Summer. If it stays full, it will just continue to improve.

Last week, caught wiper, saugeye, Crappie, Largemouth and slab gills. Largemouth up to 4 lbs. Wiper 18 inches and the same with saugeye. Crappie not so big 7-9 inches. Lake is about 19 ft deep lots of cover

Been a long time since I fished here-can I wade the shoreline or do you really need a boat to fish the lake?

Shore line is limited but there are areas you can get to. Best from a boat though.
