Caught this biggin' april 7 on my lunch break. Fishing was pretty slow but able to get a couple bits including this hog on a kastmaster on the west side by the rocks.

Nice fish!! Looks pretty healthy too. I am currently finishing the police academy for Greeley PD and me and my family will be moving up to the area in the summer. I look forward to fishing the local ponds!

That is a really nice fish for a Greeley park pond. I have lived here for forty plus years and rarely ever have fished any of the local waters. Congrats Flyfishy.

Frank SWA is close :( I have caught some nice ones there too. Now Its a big sand box no water. Poudre ponds are decent a lot of great fishing with in an hour drive of greeley!

CSP- I have fished most of those over the years but most of my fishing is from a boat these days. There use to be a couple of good bass ponds west of town too. Only part of Frank SWA is closed. I believe the west pond and the far east ponds are still open. The main pond by the road is closed. I did manage a bass that went 18 1/2" out of there. Good luck when you get moved up here and in your chosen profession.

Frank SWA flooded over twice in recent years. There was the big flood everyone knows about and then last year we had a few big rain storms that flooded it again. The far west pond and the far east pond are still fishable. If you go in the summertime get ready for the most mosquitoes you'll ever see in your lifetime.

Love it when you get a nice fish like that out of a little pond you wouldn't have thought had big ones in it.

@ Esox,

There's a little pond in front of our office, I really want my boss to buy some bass and stalk it. So I can do my work from the pond.
