Lake: McPhee Reservoir

Fish Kill at McPhee

Post By: skiman      Posted: 3/13/2016 8:46:58 AM     Points: 2352
There was a large fish kill noted at McPhee Reservoir. CPW is trying to determine if it was winter kill or something else that caused it. This has effected multiple species. Go to the Georgetown post, follow the link and scroll down the Channel 9 report. I'd post a link if I knew how to do it from my I Phone.

I submitted a lake report with the link about 15 minutes ago. Hopefully it'll be posted soon.

Sounds like the die off was in the ponds not the reservoir. With the river flowing though the reservoir I don't think a winter kill is possible.

Sounds like an easy problem to fix, but dueling bureaucrats are unlikely to just fix the problem. There will be a whole lot of finger pointing and buck passing before this is taken care of. That is what they do best while spending your tax dollars
