Lake: Barker Reservoir

South Shore?

Is it possible to access the south shore of Barker Reservoir? It looks like most of it might be private property but I've seen one person fishing on the south shore.

you can, but there is a point where it is fenced off. i have always done good on the north side only, I have caught a couple small slimers, but nothing bigger than 13"

I've done pretty good catching Trout on the north side as well as the inlet. I'm hoping to catch something different/bigger by trying the south shore.

You can park at the fisherman's lot. It's at the end of East 1st Street and East Street. You'll have to walk from there. Most of the land on the South side of Barker is private so you wont really be able to park to the south and walk in.
