Hiked into the crater lakes just outside of rollinsville today. The hike in isn't to bad. The first two miles are fairly easy with the last mile being tougher. I fly fished the whole time and managed 8 8-12 inch brookies in two hours. All were caught on dries, they seemed to like the humpy the best but also caught some on caddies and parachute Adams. It was a great day and definitely beats working.

That's one of my favorite places to go. It gets a lot of traffic in the summer, so it's best to go on a weekday if you can. The water is so clear that is a lot of fun to watch a fish approach and take a dry fly.
