Fly Carp fix

Post By: Inlandsharpie777      Posted: 6/29/2015 10:51:44 PM     Points: 255
Hey, looking to get into a few carp if god is willing tomorrow, wondering if this pond is worth looking into, and if not, would sloan be a decent choice? I'm up in the mountains and hardly ever get to look at either of them and just want to know if the water has been as adversely effected by all this rain as it has in the mountains. If anyone is looking for a morning of fishing as well, I would be happy to have a company and work as a spot and cast team. If anyone has any info it's appreciated!

oh man I was just down in Denver today fishing at Westminster city park. My kid had her all star girls softball game today and has her team playing tomorrow. right next to the lake! so I got in a bit while she wasn't playing. I wish I could go, really do.
I did catch a couple on egg patterns. I tossed them out and let them sink just as the schools were coming through. They were like vacuum cleaners.. sucked them right up. if you have any, try them and see if they work for you like they did for me, Id love to know if it was some sort of fluke or something.

good luck and tight lines

I'm no good at fly fishing for carp but I've caught plenty of big carp out of Kendrick. I would definitely recommend it. The West side of the lake is a bird habitat and you can't fish it. On the South side there's a kind of slough that you could do real well in as well as of the dam on the East side.
