Does any one ever fish hear. I might make a trip down to these ponds depending on what you guys say. I would most likely be going for catfish any tips would help.

I tryed to tell everybody that fish respond to sign language better. Most fish are hard of hearing. And i have never been to these ponds.

I hadn't responded because I've never targeted cats in these ponds.

They tend to be heavily fished in general due to easy access.

BUT they are also quite lovely little ponds surrounded by large trees and some nice hiking trails.

If you decide to go, let us know how you did.

And Lew c'mon quit spreading misinformation... fish hear very well.. you need a dog whistle

Do you still need a clothespin for your nose when you fish this place? When they first became fishable, they were nice, but man did it stink there. I know they were reclaimed sewage treatment ponds, but geeez.. Don't eat anything out of there either. The local lock company up the road was dumping hazardous waste that was making it's way to those ponds, IIRC. That was a while back, but why risk it.

If you're anywhere north of north Colorado Springs, don't waste the time or the gas money, IMHO. Get yourself a Ft. Carson fishing license. There are nice cats out there AND they are on top of enforcing the rules, which means less riffraff.

bratfish, the grass carp just in the big pond with the aerators ? or have they made their way into the small pond now ? only ever caught common carp from the small pond - did hear the water level was way up now to the rocks !

tight-lines,
