Rate my stiff-arm

Post By: bron      Posted: 2/9/2015 6:57:42 AM     Points: 38411
I was trying to stiff-arm this perch into a 5# saugeye--how'd I do? My son had had his first "one that got away" moment. He had a bass--about 15"--throw the hook right at the shore. That's why he's staring down that bobber in the other photo. What's your best "one that got away"?

that looks like the reverse stiff arm. That one was so giant you had to move it back from the camera so you could both be in the photo. What's that about a 15 lb perch?

As for the one that got away... That would be every cast!

That's pretty funny, didn't know there were perch in there. The best saying I've heard in a while "Fish always grow faster after they get away".

Only a 5#??? I would have guessed at least 7!!!

Love the pic of the boy. Oh the disappointment... The one that gets away is always the biggest! Good stuff man

You filling out the Master Angler paperwork for that beast??

Tell Blake you have to set the hook a bit harder on a bass than those trout at St. Vrain. He'll be ready for the next one!

In order to get my MA on that I'd have to confirm that the sinker next to the fish was a deep sea 3# weight and unfortunately I got snagged and lost it.

I'll give you an 8 on the pose. But the camera has to be closer. )

Gotta get the camera closer. Want the subject of the pic the subject not the guy behind it. Beats the stink cat.

Gotta hide the monster fingers behind the fish.
