I ice fished the big pond of lowell today and the ice is sketchy! There was only one spot to get on the ice with the rest of the surrounding shoreline being slush, and the ice in the center of the pond was about 3-4 inches with some thin spots. The rest of the ponds were just skim ice, and after the warm weather we are about to have again, the ice on the bigger pond will not make it. Despite the ice, the fishing was actually pretty good! I was trying out my new vexilar and I got into a school of small bass and caught quite a few of them! The water clarity was also good at over 8 feet.
