Perch in Highline or Mack Mesa?

Post By: Wishful Fisher      Posted: 1/20/2015 8:51:10 PM     Points: 290
Does anyone know if there are perch in Highline or Mack Mesa? Also, has anyone been out on Highline recently? I was on Mack Mesa on the 14th. Caught some trout, but nothing else. I'd like to catch some crappies and perch. Does anyone know where to find them in Mack Mesa, or in Highline if the ice is good? I'm trying to head out there on Friday. Thanks

There are perch in Highline. They made up 7.8% in the last survey in 2008. Haven't gotten a Highline report since March. Good luck if you get out there though.

Don't know of any perch in Mack Mesa.

Thanks. Ice is too thin on Highline. Ice is out on Mack Mesa. Part of the lake has ice, thickest is 2 inches. You can open water fish the West end of the lake, and drop jigs off the boat dock. Caught a bunch of trout there today. A small jig with a worm, or a Gulp Minnow are great choices. Change it up, the bite stopped with the worms, dropped a Gulp Minnow and it was fish after fish for about half an hour.
