Live earthworms or 1/2 of a nightcrawler on a simple slip sinker rig.

On ice i would suggest a tiny black jighead and just the tip of a piece of crawler or waxie.

There are a crap load of them in cherry creek. I caught well over 50 of them from shore last summer. Just worms on a slip rig
Good luck

I would think BMWs would work.

Lew has it- I can almost always get one or more at Antero or Dowdy - tiny metal jig and a waxie, 2-4" of the bottom and with very light action.

Well I tried the suggested methods at the Chatfield tournament and I did not get anything. I marked one fish while there. Out of over 400 people 17 fish caught 3 of which by one person so 14 people caught fish. I had a good time and will try again next year.

Thank you all for the suggestions :)

Hahajkaboom. Nothing really works at those tournaments. Few lucky people. For chatty try deeper waters. Around 26 on a drop off.
